Government’s VCSE Energy Efficiency Scheme reopens

The Government’s VCSE Energy Efficiency Scheme has reopened for its final round of applications.

This scheme offers voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations (VCSEs) based in England the opportunity to apply for a free Independent Energy Assessment (IEA), a comprehensive evaluation of their building’s energy usage, efficiency and potential for energy savings.

Successful applicants will have their buildings assessed by an independent energy assessor with a view to identifying energy-saving opportunities and reducing the energy cost for the building.
Applications for IEAs are currently open, the deadline for applications is 20 June 2024.

Following completion of the IEA, the applicant can then apply for a capital grant which can be used to fund the energy efficiency measures identified in their IEA, to reduce their building’s energy costs.
The deadline for Capital Grant applications is 14 August 2024.
